THIS IS NIGERIA FALZ THE VOICE FOR THE NIGERIAN'S CRY
For the first time in a longtime after legendary Fela kuti passing rip, the very firs time a celeb in the music industry sing without fear and write about Nigeria accurately. first of all let me just say weldone sir you have just spoken and painted the tears of many less privileged heart, whose voice will never be heard cos "we're not worthy". beautiful piece of art I say, not just with your delivery and deep punches. but also the visual effect, the hidden massages.
So they see copied version of Childish Gambino song, I see justice being done to a song. and to think that today is my first time sitting down listening and watching it, and I must tell you my first reaction was to kneel down thanking GOD for someone finally getting it. how he brought out the twist and still calling out names got me in a kumbaya state of mind. for those that don't understand watch this video and follow the lyrics.
voice over; they're extremely poor, and the medical facilities are poor
we operate a predatory named colonial capitalist the system
which is founded by fraud and exploitation and therefore
we're bound to have corruption institutionalist. many criminal
are settled in police station. eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh wo
Falz; This is Nigeria
Look how am I'm living now
Look what we eating now
Everybody be criminal
This is Nigeria
Just because I'm on tv now
Person wey no get work is checking to see if my watch is original
This is Nigeria
There that madam Philomena?
Money varnish for your office 36 million, you talk say na animal
This is Nigeria
Never ending recession o
There looters are killers and stealers are still contesting election o
Politician wey steal some billion and villa e no dey go prison o
Police station dey close at 6! security reason o
(Ese o baba, awa dupe baba)
This is Nigeria
Praise and worship we singing now
Pastor put hand on the breast of his member, he's pulling the demon out
This is Nigeria
No electricity daily o
Your people are still working multiple jobs and they talk say we lazy o
This is Nigeria
There's plenty wahala sha
Fulani herdsmen still dey slaughter, carry people they massacre
This is Nigeria
Come to my area
This is democracy; political hysteria
Yahoo yahoo don tear everywhere now, while we act like it's so cool
Casting the bee and been castigated just trying to be noble
This is Nigeria
Look at my nation o
SARS blocking for road, you go talk am for station o
(sir, erm sir look I'm just a student, from the university of lagos,we're just
coming from the club)
This is Nigeria
Look how we living now*2
Everybody be criminal
What I love most especially is that he didn't leave any stone unturned, talk about the leaders in all fields, only in Africa " Nigeria" most especially where no law fight or actually total disrespect for ladies, justice, morals or value will a pastor assault a lady or members of the church and we call it nothing. where cyber crime and every crime is a way. in the video an image that captured my eye that I can relate to, is how a student especially the "less privileged" if you don't have the money to sort yourself out u will be jailed for life. Nigeria is one country only the innocent is imprisoned the guilty ones and killers walk free. and towards the ending you see an enforcer of law being completely clueless.
and oga I can see the arts all over u.
