First of all I want to thank you all, for joining in on my blog and incase this is your first time to view in on it? never worries you are just about on time because this my second post for the day and also today is my first.
Going back to my topic for theday "how to get rid of bad habits". I must admit that this a very tough topic to talk to ourselves about, especially when its accompanied with another scary truth. its called reality check, this is very tough one for everyone most especially world top spearkers and preachers. why you ask? well the answer is simply the fear of facing our deepest insecurities, it comes with brutal honesty of your strength, weakness, our mistakes, coming in terms with we are not as strong, good, perfect or totally in control as we or others think we are. after becoming aware and conquering your fears and sometimes your worst enemy which is you, then you try executing the other not so tough parts.
there's this famous quote, `it takes 21 days to establish a character` well basically all you have to do is to replace that bad characters with a new character you want. and remember you always have to get a new positive habit you want to replace it, you are taking away something you have to replace it with something positive if it must work. but before you start your elimination methods you will have to do some important things. after becoming being honest with youuself, forgive you, accept you, love you. trust me replacing habits is easier said than done, so I deviced a method for myself someofthem I learnt from my parents, cause they used it on me, but as a young adult I to tough love myself, cause ` freedom they say comes with a responsibilities.
GUIDES ON HOW TO STARVE BAD HABITS
1. bulking of habits; for example I used to be madly obssed with cakes, ice cream, chocolate.. I had other but these where my weakness kinda still is, that wasn't even the worst part. I ate them atleast twice everyday, offcourse that made me some worth shapeless. this was one of the method I used.
2. add more responsibities; this one method that has always worked for me and to some of my friends I've shared it with came back with a positive results. basically all u need to do is to attach responsibility to a habit that seems more tough to stop. this apply to alcohol addicts, set task for yourself while taking it. after setting task for yourself to achieve and you cant, you follow with the next on the list.
3. honesty can is a cure to any lie and if we can take a moment of truth, you're trying to quit it because its not good for you. most especially stare the truth in the eyes while engaging in the act, the tricky part is try your best not to be digusted at yourself but the habit while being honest.
4. replace it with a new habits that's healthy for you like; eating healthy, meditation, improving a skill anything that will give you enough satisfaction and better exchange.
5. STOP; no matter how out of control you think you might be, you are still the one in charge here. always remember that, its a habit because you chose it, besides the only constant thing is change. tell yourself `I'm in control whatever I don't allow seize to exist, I run you and you don't run me`.
take your power back from any habit you try to change, read books to help encourage you and help lift your spirit up. if you find yourself around those who in any form encourages the habit, slowly detach from the person, lets face it in life people are in your life for various reasons. it's ok to Good luck onto your journey of truth, self discovery and most especially getting rid of that habit part ways when you see you are heading towards different directions life happens.
